Welcome!
The United Methodist Women of the Mountain Lakes District are proud of the position we hold in this wonderful organization as we follow God’s direction for our lives.
If you would like to express your Spiritual qualities such as love of God, forgiveness, knowledge, talent, time and energy we would like for you to join our organization.
Who are Members? Members are women like you: women of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds; employed and unemployed; women with disabilities; housewives and business women; single, married widowed, and divorced women; teen women, young women, middle-aged women, older women; college/university women; multicultural and multiracial women; and retired women committed to mission.
Do You Fit One Of These Categories?
How to become a member. The organization of United Methodist Women is a community of women who nurture and encourage one another in their spiritual growth and personal development. One becomes a member by committing to be a part of this supportive community of women and by accepting the challenge to grow in mission and to participate in life-changing experiences. And, you do not have to be a Methodist.
Just ask any Methodist woman and she can direct you to a meeting.
We have a Purpose! United Methodist Women is a community of women with a special PURPOSE. That PURPOSE statement is:
“The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church”.
